Getting to and Around Budapest

We recommend flying into Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.

There a lots of ways to get around Budapest! The easiest way to get around is with Bolt.

Car rental:

  • Longer rentals for who those who want to explore: Hertz or Rentacar

  • Short term rentals - Green go application. For Green Go, we recommend setting up your profile a day before you travel, since account confirmation can take 24 hours.

  • Budapest also has an excellent public transport system - download the BudapestGo app that can plan a journey using your location.

  • And, of course, Bolt :)

Accommodation

Our recommendation is to stay at the beautiful Abacus Hotel, located just 10 minutes from the wedding venue.

  • Rooms have been reserved for the wedding. To book, please visit their website -https://abacus.hu/en/  and use the code LAUDEM for a small discount.

  • Our wedding shuttle will also pick-up and drop-off to this location.

    • Shuttle is leaving from Abacus at 16:30.

    • Shuttles back will be running between 24:00 and 03:00.

Things to do in Budapest

  • Gellert Spa - before or after the party is a perfect opportunity to relax in the famous Budapest Spas. Gellert is our personal favourite as it is smaller and more intimate. Széchenyi Spa is another larger one to check out.

  • Cruise on the Danube

  • Buda Castle

  • Budapest Parliament Building

  • Central Market Hall

  • Margaret Island
